Responsible Development Initiative
Dwellings Farms partners with it's sister entities, Dwellings Development Co. and Dwellings Investment Group, in the creation of the RDI. This initiative was created to strategize the best way to preserve and conserve the farm land that makes up rural Hampton Roads. Development is inevitable and these farms are turning into cluster developments, large single family lots, and subdivisions fast. While Dwellings Development Co. is a home builder, they value agriculture and preserving rural Hampton Roads. Dwellings has worked alongside the cities of Virginia Beach and Chesapeake to subdivide acquired farm land to incorporate putting large portions of these farms in Conservation. This ensures that farmers are able to continue to lease and farm the large portions subdivided and zoned Conservation. This collection of farms preserved by this initiative are all part of the Dwellings Farms operation.

Indian Creek Lots
These lots will be on Indian Creed Rd. in Chesapeake. There will be 4 new construction homes along the road front with the preservation area behind the lots.

An old farm house was also part of this parcel. Dwellings Development Co. subdivided the farm house lot and rehabbed the home to preserve the agricultural character and charm.
Hungarian Lots
These lots will be on Hungarian Rd. in Virginia Beach. There will be 4 new construction homes along the road front with the 34+ acres of agriculture preservation area behind the lots.
